Gut Health & Why We Focus On It

80% of our immune defense is located in our gut?

Ensuring that you have a balanced microbiota and enough good bacteria is so important for a well-functioning immune system.

The good bacteria in your gut has many responsibilities. Including, but not limited to:

  • being the first line of defense against bad bacteria and pathogens

  • supporting our immune system

  • helping with digestions and the absorption of nutrients

  • producing certain vitamins, like vitamin B and K

  • enhancing our brain function and mood

Adding a probiotic to your daily routine is beneficial in supporting your gut health and the production of these good bacteria. Probiotics are live microorganisms that are proven to benefit our health by restoring the bacteria balance in the body.

We have recently found BioGaia and have started using several of their products! We chose BioGaia because their probiotics contain the exclusive and beneficial Lactobacillus reuteri.

L. reuteri is a probiotic species whose natural habitat is the human body. Passed from generation to generation during childbirth and breastfeeding, L. reutri has co-evolved with humans since the beginning of time.

BioGaia is a leader in probiotic research and they are backed by science. They stand by their quality of product and their numbers support that!

We are so happy that we found BioGaia and our bodies are thankful!
